Hunger, they say, is the world's most solvable problem. Yet millions of children go to bed hungry every night.
There is more than enough food in the world today. Yet hunger claims the lives of millions of indigent children every year.
This ought not to be so.
You and I have the opportunity of having enough food to eat. The least we can do is make the same available for an innocent child.
This is why I have chosen to make my birthday this year count by sponsoring 1000 meals to feed children whom poverty has denied the luxury of a meal.
I call on you today, my friends, family members, anyone who has a heart, to join me to make this a reality.
Many of these children have never known what it means to eat 3 square meals but together we can change that.
It costs just N1000 or $3 to give a child a day's meal. This is little compared to the life of a child.
So join me today, and together let's give indigent children in the inner cities a reason to smile!
